At the NAB Show, software-based content security provider Verimatrix will demonstrate the latest versions of its content protection software for pay TV. For IPTV providers, the vendor will demo the latest version of its VCAS, a protection platform designed to streamline operations for wholesale and retail delivery models, eliminating the need for local decryption and re-encryption at each retailer site.
The company will also show off its ViewRight PC Player, which turns any broadcast-connected PC into a fully functional, interactive IPTV client within a subscriber’s home. The latest model of the player incorporates a seamless approach for digital video recorder (DVR) functionality, giving consumers the flexibility to experience the same performance on their PC Player as they would get with a TV DVR.
Reseller partners Falcon IP/Complete will also be showings its complete IPTV system targeted at the country’s smaller telcos. It is designed to level the playing field by enabling and securing video delivery for rural subscribers. In addition to Falcon IP, partners I-Systems and Guest-Tek will demonstrate their use of Verimatrix in IPTV deployments at the NAB Show.
