Accordent Technologies is introducing new versions of its capture and multimedia presentation management systems this week. Among the new capabilities being demonstrated this week are additional viewer tracking and reporting to one-time guests for externally facing webcasts.
Accordent’s system now supports Microsoft Silverlight’s crossplatform, crossbrowser plug-in. And new support of the Flash media format enables presenters to encode presentations into the Flash media format while retaining all of the same preview and publish functionality.
It also supports HD video and video podcasting (to encode presentations into the H.264 MPEG-4 format for use with iTunes) and customized presentation skins that can be shared throughout an organization.
The new release also includes content viewing reporting based on categories, tracking of one-time guests and location-based routing, which allows large clients with multiple servers to distribute content efficiently.
In addition, Accordent’s capture appliance now has a mobile version to facilitate sharing among users.
“We’ve watched the volume and sophistication of our clients’ multimedia communications programs grow to now include public-facing applications such as marketing, recruiting and training manufacturers’ representatives,” Mike Newman, Accordent’s CEO, said in a statement. “The new capabilities we’re unveiling at NAB respond to this demand, enabling our clients not only to create content for new media players, applications and devices, but to also measure and understand how audiences inside and outside of their organizations are receiving their messages.”
