Panel discusses local content production tools

“Content Production Potpourri – Hot Products for Producing Local Content” was held Wednesday, April 16, 2:10 -5 p.m., and was moderated by Steven Hawley, senior IP Analyst, Multimedia Research Group.
The rapid-paced session looked at what is hot at the NAB Show, particularly in the area of local content production tools. The topics covered included editing software and workstations, cameras, lighting, sound and hardware. Vendors demonstrated software and hardware production solutions, while the panelists provided commentary and asked questions. This interactive session was particularly for the independent operators that are building their first studio as well as those who wish to improve the efficiency of existing studios. Presenters included Kshitij Kumar, CEO and founder, TellyTopia; Mark Laughlin, IT director, RT Communications; Justyn Miller, general manager, Kalona Cooperative Telephone; Bill Silva, senior VP, Zillion TV; and Ken Pyle, managing editor, Viodi.
